The Meeting Center of the IBS Foundation is easily accessible by car and by train.
Arrival by car
There are two possibilities:
- If you are coming from the south, the best way to reach us is via Dresden. Take the A4 towards Dresden and then in (or just before) Dresden take the A13 towards Berlin. Follow this until Ruhland. From Ruhland there are three routes, as shown in the map below.
- If you come from the north, it is best to travel via Berlin. From the Schönefelder Kreuz (southeast of Berlin) take the A13 to Ruhland and then continue as suggested below.
Arrival by train
In the neighboring village of Laubusch, Schwarzkollm, there is a bus stop.
Schwarzkollm is connected to the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland, i.e. the S-Bahn line 4 Geithain-Hoyerswerda stops here, which is operated every 2 hours. Also every 2h (one hour after the S-Bahn) a regional express runs from Hoyerswerda to Dresden via Schwarzkollm (and vice versa).
Both lines run to Ruhland, from where hourly connections to Leipzig, Dresden and Cottbus are guaranteed.
Note: The Schwarzkollm station is located about 3km from the meeting center. Either you organize a pick up or you look for a bus connection. Directly in front of the meeting center is the bus stop "Laubusch Verwaltung", which is served regularly.
