Call for contribution

LCL: Learner Centered Learning 2022

International IBS Workshop on “Learner Centered Learning” will take place in Laubusch/Lauta, Germany from 2nd to 4th of November 2022.

The main purpose of the International IBS Workshop is to call participants not only from educational institutions, we extend our call to group people from government, industries, and society to discuss the latest research on education. During workshop days, we will discuss recent research on educational technologies and learner centered learning approaches. You can present your ongoing research work or new ideas to our participants who traveled long only to hear you and to extend professional networks.

Sharing contextualized experiences and the latest research with others will help us to recognize problems and development strategies of education systems of different countries. We are hoping that our workshop will be a useful experience for you and you can develop many new ideas for cooperation with international partners.

The main topics of the Workshop are:

  • Learner centered learning
  • E-Learning and digital learning
  • Evaluation of E-learning
  • Virtual learning environment, virtual laboratories
  • Reflection and discussion on students‘ motivation
  • Active learning methodology
  • Learning analytics in learner centered learning
  • Virtual mentoring and virtual tutoring
  • Hybrid AI in learner centered learning
  • Challenges of future development of teaching and learning

Forms of participation

  • Undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students, researchers and lecturers can submit posters, short and full papers to International Workshop.
  • Distinguished researchers, Professors, Experts and Stakeholders invited to lecture or keynote (up to 30 minutes) on the topics of their main research.
  • Regular Participants can give presentations orally (15-20 minutes) or can present their own work as the poster.
  • Papers will be published in the proceedings collection of the IBS Foundation.
  • Distance participation is possible. You can submit your work and can present your work via recorded video to the audience. The video should be 10-15 minutes long.

Paper Submission Guideline

The objective of the LCL workshop lies in sharing, disseminating best practices and potential avenues for cooperation regarding the current issues, achievements, successes and challenges facing computer science and information technology.

Forms of participation in the LCL Workshop:

1. In-person participation
1.1. Oral presentation. Duration: 20 minutes
1.2. Poster
1.3. Exhibition – presentation of equipment and promotional materials connected to the scope of the LCL Workshop LCL Workshop
1.4. participation as an observer - LCL Workshop 2022 shall support individuals seeking to further their research careers, those beginning research and those currently engaged in research in their pursuit to generate knowledge through its approach of integrating otherwise disparate fields of technology
1.5. Participation as a partner organization – we are pleased to welcome any potential partner organizations operating in relevant fields to work with us
1.6. Participation as a sponsor

2. Electronic participation
Electronic participation can take place in an online or offline manner

2.1. Online participation

  • Online oral presentation: Duration: 10 minutes. Must be online during LCL Workshop
  • Poster: Posters must be delivered by mail to organizers at least 7 days prior to LCL Workshop. Must be online during the LCL Workshop

2.2 Offline participation

  • Oral presentation: A pre-recorded 10-minute presentation must be delivered to organizers at least 7 days prior to LCL Workshop. It would be preferable for presenter to be available during LCL Workshop to answer questions.
  • Poster: Posters must be delivered by mail to organizers at least 7 days prior to LCL Workshop. Must be online during the LCL Workshop

3. Publication of contribution
Poster: Innovative ideas and research concepts can be submitted as a poster. Poster shall be submitted in accordance with the organizer format and submissions connected to the 
LCL Workshop submitted contributions have priority. The best poster will be with the LCL Best Poster Certificate award.

Paper: Research papers and results can be submitted as paper. with the subject area LCL Workshop related posts take precedence. All contributions must come from members of the LCL Workshop Scientific Council will be reviewed and evaluated within one week of receipt.

Papers shall take the following format:

Full Paper (4-8 pages)
Abstract (1 page)
All papers have to be submitted in IEEE format
